Syria’s Knights received a large number of letters revolving around the 1966 incidents known as the February 23rd Movement. It was this movement that settled the differences and polarizations among the factions of the Socialist Arab Baath Party in Syria by eliminating the right wing represented by President Amin Al-Hafez, Prime Minister Salah Bitar and others, and by tightening the grip of the left wing, or what was known as the military group, on the ruling party in Syria.
The letters we have received include valuable, and even very important, information that deals with accounts of incidents not published yet. They include plenty of information in contradiction with what has been circulated or published so far on the February 23rd Movement.
We will soon post these letters on our website and we will make the full version accessible to the readers.
